The WaSHMEL project is supported by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation (CNHF) and led by The Water Institute at UNC; the project focuses on evaluating the Hilton Foundation’s strategic WaSH initiative, facilitating the implementation of next-generation WaSH monitoring and evaluation tools by Hilton’s partners, and fostering a collaborative community of practice around WaSH M&E. To achieve these goals, the WaSHMEL project will catalyze the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and best practices among practitioners, integrating key research findings and the outcomes of post-2015 JMP discussions on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene indicators. We believe that this approach will allow CNHF and its partners to more accurately measure the rate of change in sustainable access to WaSH; furthermore, we believe that advanced monitoring, evaluation, and learning can drive continuous program improvement and ever-greater gains in water, sanitation, and hygiene for the world’s poorest individuals.
This Virtual Learning Center is an online platform to help you connect, learn, and share experiences about WaSH M&E, as well as track your project’s outcomes. We invite you to explore the Center and join our online community of practice.
